There is a particular stillness to blue and white porcelain, the kind that comes from a tradition refined over centuries. This scarf draws from that same well. Elegant hand-drawn peony florals flow across the fabric in deep indigo and soft grey, with a bold yellow accent border that grounds the composition and lifts it at the same time.
Each motif is drawn directly onto 100% satin-weave cotton using the traditional batik technique, hot wax resisting the dye to create the fine outlines and layered tones that give the piece its characteristic depth. The result is a scarf that reads as both vintage and contemporary, at home with a tailored coat or a relaxed linen dress.
Wear it as a headscarf, neck wrap, shoulder throw or scarf top. Pair it with the optional Furo wooden handle and it becomes a bag. Five ways to wear one piece of wearable art.
No two scarves are ever identical. Each one is individually hand-drawn, waxed and dyed by the artist, meaning natural variations in colour and line are part of the piece, not a flaw in it.
